This library holds standardized metadata about select population/public health indicators, including the following: summary of definitions, methodologies, reporting level and data sources. The library functions as a reference for health analysts and other users who require a synopsis of how an indicator is calculated and how results can be accessed, with a specific focus on the BC context.
The indicator metadata captured here is organized by theme according to a framework characterized by health status, risk and protective factors (determinants of health) and health system performance developed by the British Columbia Population and Public Health Evidence and Data Expert Group in 2008.
